How to remove personal information from Google
Use Google’s official personal-information tools to remove your contact details, government IDs, financial data, and similar information from search results. Start with the “Results about you” dashboard or the content removal form, submit the URLs, and Google de-indexes qualifying results. Remember: de-indexing hides the result in Google, but the source page still exists, so a complete fix also needs removal at the source.
The steps
Open Google’s removal tools
Use the "Results about you" dashboard (signed in) or the content removal request form (no login) to start.
Select what to remove
Eligible data includes home address, phone, email, government IDs, financial account numbers, medical records, and login credentials.
Submit the URLs
Provide the exact URLs showing your information. Google reviews and de-indexes qualifying results, often query-scoped to searches of your name.
Pursue removal at source
De-indexing hides the result in Google but the page still exists. For a complete fix, the source site must remove or update it. We handle that outreach.
