Essentras vs Peec AI
Where each one sits in the AI-visibility stack, and which one changes what models say.
Peec AI measures how AI engines describe a brand, with a dashboard starting at $95 a month. Essentras does not measure for you, it sells the placements, Wikipedia and Knowledge Panel work that change what those engines read. Pick Peec AI to track visibility. Pick Essentras to act on what tracking finds.
Essentras
Earned-media and entity execution with its own measured corpus of AI answers, priced per item rather than per seat.
Peec AI
Self-serve SaaS dashboard that tracks how a brand appears across AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews/AI Mode, Copilot, Gemini and more).
Why choose Essentras?
Essentras is the execution half of the problem Peec AI measures, not a substitute for in-house PR or an editorial placement. It runs its own measured corpus of AI answers at /ai-check, then sells named publication placements, Wikipedia, Google Knowledge Panel and review-profile work, each priced and confirmed before payment. A paid placement is still a paid placement, and nobody can promise a ranking or an AI citation, only the deliverable itself.
The destination is named before you pay
You pick the outlet from the catalog, see its price, turnaround and link policy, and receive that URL. No blind retainer, no placeholder list.
We publish how we measure
The /ai-check corpus is real answers from six models, updated and open to read. The method is checkable rather than a proprietary score.
You can buy one unit
No seats, no prompt allowance, no annual prepay and no notice window. One placement is a complete purchase with nothing to cancel.

The decision, in three lines
Pick Essentras if
Essentras is right when a brand already knows the gap and wants it closed. Named outlet placements, Wikipedia work or a Knowledge Panel, each priced and timed before payment, not another chart explaining the gap.
Pick Peec AI if
Peec AI is right when a team already has in-house PR, content or SEO capacity. It needs an ongoing, self-serve dashboard tracking share of voice, sentiment and citations across ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and AI Overviews daily.
When Peec AI is the better buy
Peec AI genuinely wins for a team that already has in-house content, PR and SEO capability and just needs a reliable, self-serve, reasonably priced instrument to see daily how its brand and competitors are showing up across ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and AI Overviews, broken down by country, project and prompt, and to pipe that data into its own reporting stack via API/MCP, an agency managing several client brands, or an in-house team that wants the dashboard and will do its own execution, is better served by Peec's software-only model than by paying for an execution program it does not need.
Measured, not asserted
The numbers behind this page
Every comparison on this site rests on two things we recompute rather than claim: the live catalog of what we actually sell, and a running study of what answer engines actually say. Both are linked below so you can check them.
Corpus figures recomputed 5 October 2026. Catalog figures are live.
How we compared
Both sides were compared on the same 12 dimensions, using published list pricing read off each vendor's own site on 4 October 2026. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the cell says so rather than carrying an estimate.
- 01Is the price published on the vendor's own pricing page today, or does learning it require a demo call? Profound, and the Enterprise tier of almost every other vendor here, is quote-only.
- 02How many AI engines are covered on the cheapest tier you can actually buy, and what the rest cost as add-ons. Peec caps self-serve at 3 of 6 models; Otterly's base tiers cover 4 and charge separately for Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude.
- 03How many prompts or credits the plan includes per period, what an extra block costs, and how many user seats are included before per-seat fees apply. Semrush and Ahrefs ship one seat and charge $40 to $100/mo for each additional user.
- 04Exit terms in writing: monthly cancellation versus a prepaid annual term, the notice window before auto-renewal, and whether unused time is refunded. Peec, Otterly, Writesonic and HubSpot all state that prepaid fees are not refunded.
- 05Whether the product changes anything outside your own domain, or only reports on it. Measurement tells you a competitor was cited instead; it does not place the article, build the entity, or fix the review profile that caused it.
Deliberately excluded. Features neither side documents publicly, and any claim that rests only on a single review or a vendor's own case study.
Essentras sells services in this category, so this page is not a neutral review. Every competitor figure is published list pricing you can check on the vendor's own site, and the case for choosing a competitor over us is stated on every entry rather than left out.
FAQ
Essentras vs Peec AI, FAQ
Is Peec AI a replacement for Essentras, or the other way around?▾
No. They sit on different sides of the same AI-visibility problem. Peec AI is a subscription dashboard that measures how often and how favourably AI engines mention a brand. Essentras does not measure for its customers, it sells the earned-media and entity work, publication placements, Wikipedia, Knowledge Panel, review-profile work, that can change what those engines say. Many buyers reasonably use both: Peec AI to track movement, Essentras to produce it.
Does Essentras guarantee a ranking or an AI citation?▾
No. Essentras cannot guarantee a search ranking or that a chatbot will cite a brand, and no vendor can. What it does guarantee is the deliverable itself: a confirmed URL on the outlet chosen, at the price and turnaround shown before payment. The /ai-check corpus measures whether visibility moves afterwards, it does not promise a specific outcome.
How much does Peec AI cost, and is pricing published?▾
Yes, published live at peec.ai/pricing. Starter is $95/mo for 50 prompts and 3 of 6 AI models. Pro is $245/mo and Advanced is $495/mo, each adding prompts, projects and country coverage. Enterprise, with up to 13 models including Claude and GPT-5 Search, is custom and quote-only. Annual billing is discounted 15%.
Can you cancel Peec AI at any time?▾
On a monthly plan, yes, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Annual plans are different: they auto-renew for a full 12-month term and require 30 days' written notice before renewal to avoid another year, and prepaid fees are not refunded pro rata on early exit unless the termination is Peec AI's own fault or an uncured breach.
Does Essentras run on a subscription like Peec AI?▾
No. Essentras sells individually priced line items, placements, Wikipedia work, Knowledge Panel work, review removal, each shown with its own price and turnaround before purchase, rather than a monthly seat. Peec AI is the opposite model: a recurring dashboard subscription with unlimited seats, billed monthly or annually. Neither structure is inherently better, they fit different jobs.
Which AI engines does each one cover?▾
Peec AI's self-serve tiers (Starter, Pro, Advanced) let a buyer pick 3 of 6 listed engines: ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. The full 13-engine set, including Claude and GPT-5 Search, is Enterprise-only. Essentras maintains its own published research corpus, the /ai-check study, measuring real answers from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek and Grok, 6 models, as a research instrument rather than a per-client tracking product.
Who should not buy Essentras?▾
A team that wants an enterprise seat model, SSO or a dedicated customer success manager alongside an ongoing measurement dashboard, competitor benchmarking by prompt and country, and API or Looker Studio access, is better served by a platform like Peec AI, whose Enterprise tier covers exactly that. Essentras has no equivalent seat-based plan, it is built for buyers who want specific placements, Wikipedia or Knowledge Panel work done, not a subscription to administer.
