FAQ

Eligibility checker, FAQ

What are the requirements for Meta Verified?▾

For creators: be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live), live in a country where Meta Verified is offered, use an eligible personal or creator profile, show a valid government photo ID that matches your profile name, turn on Advanced Protection, meet Meta's minimum activity level and avoid a burst of recent changes to your name, picture or username. There is no follower minimum.

Why was my Meta Verified application denied?▾

Meta's help pages list the causes without ranking them: a profile name that does not match your ID or breaks its naming rules, an ID photo that is blurred, cropped, glared or expired, Advanced Protection off, too many recent profile changes, too little activity, an unavailable country, or verification not finished within 3 days (which triggers a refund). Most are fixable before you reapply, and Essentras can help find which applied.

How many followers do you need to get verified on Instagram?▾

None. Meta publishes no follower minimum for either route. Meta Verified checks identity, not fame. The free badge needs notability instead: Meta looks for a well-known, highly searched for person or brand featured in multiple news sources, and it does not count paid or sponsored media.

How much does Meta Verified cost?▾

Meta Verified Standard costs $14.99 a month per profile in the Instagram or Facebook app, or $11.99 on the web in most regions; Plus, Premium and Max cost $49.99, $149.99 and $499.99. Business plans cost the same per Page or account, and Meta One plans with the badge cost $14.99 to $499.00 (Meta, checked 2026-10-15). Essentras application help is a separate one-time fee, and simple cases do not need it.

Can you guarantee I get verified?▾

No, and anyone guaranteeing a verified badge is misleading you. Meta makes the decision and can deny applications, including paid ones. What we guarantee is honest eligibility assessment, profile and application optimization, and a corrected reapplication if you were rejected. We never fake documents or claim insider access.
